Award winning film-maker Jimmy Collins began his career as a cameraman in his hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina. The first commercial he shot, for a carwash, won a Clio award. Within twenty years he had won every major award in the advertising community, including the Atlante Ad Club’s Best of Show on three occasions; four Clios for the Atlanta Ballet and numerous other national, regional and international awards. He worked with George Lucas at ILM, based in San Francisco, California, then was recruited to work exclusively for MacGuffin Films where Collins expanded his client list to include international companies in London, Paris, Milan, Rome, Hong Kong, KL, Sidney, Wellington, and Tokyo. In 2006 Collins wrote and sold an original screenplay to Maverick Entertainment (owned by Madonna). As the lead creative, he finished a pilot for a TV series that is being shopped among the networks. In addition to his work in advertising and film, Mr. Collins is an acclaimed photographer and artist, having exhibited in galleries in New York City, Las Vegas, Georgia. Currently his work is being sold in a Georgetown, South Carolina gallery, signing his paintings with the Irish version of Collins: O’Cullen.
